Grants

TSGC awarded its first membership grant in 2015. Since the first award of $500, the grant program has expanded to offer grants of up to $1,000 every fall and spring. Grants are open to full members or student members of TSGC. Proposals regarding any aspect of genetic counseling are welcome, but proposals with a broad interest to all Texas genetic counselors or genetic services in Texas are preferred. A short presentation or dissemination of results to the TSGC membership during and/or after conclusion of the project is always completed.

The 2024 TSGC Fall grants application is now open! Any TSGC member in good standing, including student members currently enrolled in a Texas genetic counseling program, is encouraged to submit a proposal for a grant. The maximum grant award is $1,000 and partial funding is available. Re-submissions are encouraged!

Grant submissions are due Monday, December 2, 2024 by 11:59 PM CT. Please see the application guidelines HERE.
