We would like to introduce you to the three wonderful individuals who are responsible for co-chairing this year’s AEC!
Jackie:
Hi I’m Jackie Harkenrider. I live in Sugar Land, TX and I work with the UT Houston prenatal group. I think I’m most excited about getting the chance to network and catch up with friends while learning from counselors in the other subspecialities. A fun fact about me that most people don’t know is I collect antique and rare books.
Rachel B:
Hi! My name is Rachel Bluebond, and I am a genetic counselor in Houston. I currently work in industry after many years in oncology clinical practice in Houston. When I’m not thinking about genetics, you can find me splitting my weekends between cooking adventures, F1 race watch parties, and a pottery class. I am thrilled to be part of this year’s TSGC AEC planning committee. As co-chair, I’m excited to see how this year’s conference highlights the amazing genetic counseling community we belong to, including how we can work together to serve our colleagues and our patients. I can’t wait to see you there!
Rachel F.
Hi! I am Rachel Franciskovich. I live in the Woodlands and work at Texas Children’s Hospital in the Woodlands, as well as am the Research Coordinator for Baylor College of Medicine Genetic Counseling Program. I am so excited to join the Houston GCs in co-chairing the AEC conference to help build the program into a perfect mix of learning and networking and how we can use this to better serve ourselves and our patients! In my free time, you can find me spending loads of time with my husband and daughter and preparing to welcome two more little nuggets to our family come March 2024!
